Lee Sonin, M.D.
Dr. Sonin attended the University of Illinois in Champaign and received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology in 1975 and his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Illinois in Chicago in 1979. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Northwestern University in 1982 and a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Northwestern University in 1984. He is board certified in Pediatric and Adult Allergy and Immunology. He is involved in teaching Pediatric residents from Lutheran General Hospital residency program in his office.
He is interested in seeing patients with allergic rhinitis, asthma, atopic dermatitis, urticaria and angioedema, and food allergies. “I feel it is very important to listen to what my patient says to me and like to involve them in their treatment.”
Dr. Sonin grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and has practiced in the area since he completed training. His is married and has two children, one in electrical engineering and the other in occupational therapy. He is an avid bicyclist and enjoys chip carving.
